Who you are? I’m a registered dietitian who loves talking food and fitness. I connect with my clients in a sincere way and enjoy what I do every day. Why did you choose nutrition as your career? Taking care of your body and understanding food and nutrients goes hand in hand. Once I discovered the fascinating way nutrients work in the body, I decided that I needed to study nutrition and share it with others. How long have you been practicing? I have practiced as a nutrition counselor for 4 years, mostly in the corporate wellness setting. What’s your approach to practicing nutrition? Choosing to eat healthy foods makes for a better way of life -- it equips our bodies to work properly and makes us feel good. Modest weight loss is often an important focus and is a key factor in renewing your health. What do you think is one key to success for your clients? If you have a real desire to change your way of eating for the better, support is the key. We often think we can do things on our own, but accountability helps us continue to stick to the process and meet our goals.
